Buvuma Forest – Sweetened with Coconut Sugar

At the source of the Nile river rests the majestic lake Victoria . Of the thousands of islands in the lake, one is home to the fertile island of Buvuma. Many of the forested areas here have been cleared and made way for pastures. This project is restoring the Buvuma forest and has planted over 100.000 trees so far. In the shade of these trees, grows a unique mix of cacao varieties.

This cacao delivers a rich and complex flavour profile with notes of star anis, fennel, banana and white cherries.
