Regenerative by Nature: From Soil to Chocolate to Community

Our cacao is regenerative on three interconnected levels: the land, our business, and our community.

The land

We work with small landholder farmers and indigenous communities who grow cacao within rich agroforestry systems. These methods — whether biodynamic, organic, or traditional — are rooted in respect for the soil. Agroforestry creates a living ecosystem where cacao grows alongside fruit trees, hardwoods, and native plants, restoring biodiversity and protecting the land for future generations. For us, cacao is always a soil-to-soil process. Even the husks find a second life — brewed into cacao teas or shared with other producers — so that everything circles back to nourish the earth.

Our business

Regeneration also guides the way we operate day to day. All of our packaging is compostable, free from toxins, and printed locally in collaboration with small businesses. By keeping production close to home, we reduce our footprint and support the economy of our own community.

Our community

Finally, regeneration is about people. At our Cacao House in Stroud, cacao becomes a meeting place. It’s where people come together to share conversation, read, explore oracle cards, or simply enjoy time in each other’s company — all gently nourished by the sociability of cacao.

For these reasons, we see our work as regenerative: it gives back to the soil, to the farmers who grow with care, to the community we live in, and to the earth we all share.
